Cardinal Carter Catholic School Council consists of parents/guardians, Mr. Richard Maurice, School Principal and a teacher respresentative.  All parents/guardians of Cardinal Carter Catholic High School are welcome to attend Council meetings.

Such council meetings take place in the School Library from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  An open discussion and question period follows from 8:30 to 9:00 p.m.  Our regular agenda includes a monthly report from Mr. Maurice, updates from the Student Council President, discussion regarding relevant school/Council issues, information regarding upcoming events and reports from our Newcomer, Future, Budget, Hospitality, Uniform and Constitution Committees.  In the coming months, we will welcome Heads of Departments from Carter who will speak to us about the curriculum and the successes and challenges of teaching our children.

We will continue to actively paricipate and assist with many school events including Awards' Night, Post-Secondary Information Fair, Parent/Teacher Interview Night, Grade 8 Parent Information Night as well as concerts and school productions throughout the year.  Council also assists Guidance in hosting a "Welcome Breakfast" for students new to the school in first and second semester.  As well, Council looks forward to awarding three scholarships to Grade 12 graduating students.

This year, we have successfully assisted in dispersing over $16,000 to the various departments at Cardinal Carter to assist with curriculum learning.  Donations were made to the following programs and departments:  Arts, Religion, Music, English, Computer and Technological Studies, Science and Special Education.  We were pleased to also assist the following Student Councils:  Third World Council, Legacy Committee, Bullying Prevention Committee, Student Council, Best Buddies, Visual Arts Council and OSAID.
